Step 1 · Disconnect Spark Plug Wire

Before beginning any work on the lawn mower, it is crucial to ensure it cannot start accidentally. Locate the spark plug wire, which typically connects to the top of the spark plug. Firmly grasp the boot of the spark plug wire and pull it straight off the spark plug. This action effectively disables the ignition system.
